A clear roadmap identifying how a Health Board or Trust is going to adopt digital technology to transform how it will deliver healthcare services has never been more essential than now, building on the shifts in cultures and working practices created by the pandemic. We all know that we have to fundamentally shift how healthcare is delivered to maximise resources, move care closer to home and support people to manage their own wellbeing.

At this event you will hear from Cardiff and Vale UHBWelsh Ambulance Service NHS Trust and Digital Services for Patients and the Public, who have recently or are developing digital strategies to help their organisations identify, use and offer the right digital tools and services.

Chaired by Bob Hudson, Chair of Digital Health and Care Wales, we will hear from:

  • Allan Wardhaugh, CCIO, Cardiff and Vale UHB - Building a Learning Health and Care System: Stuff, Staff and Adaptive Change
  • Andy Haywood, Director of Digital at Welsh Ambulance Service NHS Trust, on the development of the new WAST digital strategy
