What is Telecare?
Telecare is a monitoring service that allows you to access help day or night, 365 days a year, through a touch of a button, or by a series of automatic sensors that detect when you need assistance. Telecare services across Wales can provide you, and your loved ones, with some extra reassurance and peace of mind. These services are delivered across Wales, primarily by local councils and housing association providers.
Our Work...
TEC Cymru’s vision for our Telecare Programme is ‘to be the centre of excellence for all telecare related activity in Wales’. We will work closely with Welsh telecare services, industry bodies, allied sectors and service users to set a clear direction on how to achieve our vision. We will help service providers in migrating to digital telecare, providing dedicated support, advice and documentation to move them across ahead of the 2025 deadline. We will use this website to inform the wider Welsh public on what types of telecare equipment they can access and where from, with links to equipment vendor and Welsh Service Provider pages.
