Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) in Aneurin Bevan University Health Board have now started offering medication reviews via telehealth.
From January 2020, telehealth appointments will be offered to all Ty Bryn Unit patients as an alternative to regular face-to-face medication reviews.
This service improvement initiative is expected to save families hours of travel time and unnecessary missed school and work days. Dr Jacinta Tan, one of the consultant psychiatrist delivering this service says,
“We are now offering telehealth to families here in Ty Bryn, and so far, satisfaction is very high among families and clinicians, and outcomes are looking very promising. These are exciting times for the NHS"
